Dr Laurie Hanquinet

I am a sociologist, focusing on cultural institutions, socio-cultural inequalities,  and more recently in urban sociology. I have undertaken research on the visitors of modern and contemporary art museums, on the role of artists in the society and on different dimensions of cultural participation and social engagement. I would like to exchange thoughts with art sector professionals, especially artists and people involved in cultural mediation, but also experts from other disciplines than mine.
